IUON welcomes students who have completed other degree programs and have decided to enter the nursing profession.  These students are called "second degree students".  Second degree students may have just completed college or may be a seasoned professional looking for a career change.   Students who are seeking a second degree are motivated, ready for the challenge of nursing school, and already have the skills that employers are seeking. 

IUON offers the Accelerated Second Degree Bachelor Program in Nursing (ABSN).  IUON takes into account your bachelor degree and whether or not you have completed certain pre-requisite courses.  If you meet the criteria, you will be able to complete their bachelor of science program in nursing more quickly.
