Morehead State University
After completing the required semesters in St.Kitts, students transition to the United States or Canada to complete their theory and clinical training at one of IUON's affiliated teaching institutions.
At these schools, students continue their final year of nursing education, building on the information and skills gained during their initial semesters at the IUON campus on St. Kitts. This final year also provides advanced clinical aspects of nursing, as practiced in the U.S. or Canada today.
IUON and each Partner School has policies for determining whether a student is making Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) in his or her educational program. While attending the partner school, students are required to meet the satisfactory academic progress requirements of both degree granting institutions. IUON evaluates every student's academic progress at the end of each semester. SAP policies are consistently applied to all students regardless of their citizenship or type of financial aid received.
U.S. Federal Student Aid is administered by IUON whether the student is in St. Kitts or at the partner school. Students who have accepted Federal Direct Loan funds at any point in the program must attend a partner school located in the United States.
The following schools are IUON partner schools:

Transition to a Partner School
IUON assigns students to the partner schools. When possible, student preference will be considered as these assignments are made.
IUON students become part of the partner school's student body and are dually admitted in both IUON and the partner school. Students enrolled in a partner school are subject to all the policies, and enjoy the rights and privileges of all nursing students, as defined by each partner school’s program. Students may be required to purchase additional textbooks, software, and/or enroll in courses needed in order to successfully complete the degree requirements at the partner school which consists of 2-3 semesters and possibly a "transition semester" depending on the partner school. Partner schools have different entry semesters. IUON students may need to "wait out" a semester to be transitioned to their official partner school. Some students may opt to take a leave and return home, others transition to the partner school and begin to enroll in courses required by the partner school prior to beginning clinical coursework.
All of the U.S. partner schools are accredited by either the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC) or Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), and the appropriate institutional accrediting bodies and/or applicable boards of nursing. All of the Canadian partner schools are accredited by the Canadian Association of Schools of Nursing (CASN).
Upon graduation, students receive a diploma conferring the Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree. One diploma is issued by IUON, St. Kitts; the other is issued by the partner school.
